The British Academy of Film and Television Arts honours Downton Abbey with a special award presented by Julie Walters at the Richmond Theatre. Created by Julian Fellowes, the period drama attracted widespread critical acclaim and won a number of awards including a Golden Globe. Hosted by Jonathan Ross, the evening promises to provide the definitive insight into the series, with cast and crew offering their personal observations. Dame Maggie Smith and Hugh Bonneville perform a specially written sketch. Also featured are live performances by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, who appeared as Dame Nellie Melba in the fourth series, and Julian Ovenden.
