Dave Myers visits Wilton’s Music Hall in east London. In the 1870s there were over 300 music halls in London, and Wilton’s is one of the few left standing. The presenter takes to the stage to unravel what made Wilton’s one of the top venues of its day, discovering why variety shows at these outrageous establishments were so special and that Victorian society wasn’t as polite as some people think. Letting his hair down, Dave brings some members of his family along for a good old fashioned Cockney knees-up.
